Initial Client Brief
- To obtain up-to-date information on status of program from the Client’s perspective.
- A time-line indication of change program in line with short, to medium to long term objectives.
- The amount (and type) of information passed on to employees already and planned for the future.
- If required, Redundancy formula and Severance Pay assistance.
- Agree on “best practice” when it is time to notify the individual employee. (i.e. how soon after the notification would you like the Consultant to contact the individual?
- Would you like any presence on client site at the time, or immediately following notification?
- Would you prefer the employee have time to digest the information and contact the Consultant when they are ready to do so?
Employee Program
Concentrated mtgs & work for initial 2 weeks with follow-up to 5th week
- Settling Down Phase and Financial Review
- Allow the employee to talk about the news (to someone who is not part of the organisation).
- Discuss the reasons to ensure there is understanding and reach a level of acceptance and well-being in order to move on in a positive way.
- The immediate fear may be possible loss of income. Talk about financials. Redundancy payment. Ability to sustain one’s self (without additional pressure) and possible time frames to pursue their next career.
- Assist in referrals to Financial Advisors, if required.
- Any plans for a holiday first, to clear the head, before settling into active job search?
- Stress management techniques during times of change.
- Career Planning and Direction Alternatives
- Career evaluation. Have you, and are you, finding fulfillment in the roles you are doing?
- Self analysis and self assessment.
- Values, likes, dislikes, ability, skills, satisfaction, levels of excellence, comfort values.
- Career options. Could this be a time to think more laterally?
- describe your ideal job?
- describe your ideal organization?
- what is it about your career that makes you glad to get up in the morning to go to work?
- satisfiers and dissatisfiers.
- possible further study considerations or self-employment ideas?
- Time to Secure THE JOB!
- Resume development.
- provision of full office and secretarial services for production.
- creating an “effective” resume.
- knowing how to present your resume in response to specific job advertisements.
- Job search techniques. Where to look, what to look for.
- Job application techniques. Telephone vs writing vs e-mail. Which works best and when?
- Interview skills. Be prepared. Be ready for the “hard” questions. Understand your market value.
- Communication and Follow-up
As a minimum, DJWM's outplacement services include, but are not limited to:
- Regular contact via e-mail, phone or in person with Client and Candidate.
- Networking ability to assist in job search.
- Office and Secretarial assistance for the life of the program.
- Final Candidate Feedback Report for the Client file and to assist DJWM’s ongoing continual improvement.
- Individualised, personable service to promote the care level and well-being of the employee.
- Highest level of professionalism, ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times.

PRICING
Individual
$1900 + gst per employee (up to 10 employees)
Volume Break
$1400 + gst per employee (11th employee onwards)
